The contoured base pads are made of protective rubber, they attach to the base of the Traverse Foot which rests directly on the roof of the vehicle.

Custom formed steel brackets coated with protective Pebax thermoplastic elastomer click into the Traverse Foot and grip to the vehicle's door frame.

The Fit Kit is engineered to minimizes the possibilities of harm to the vehicle's rubber molding and paint finish.

Thule provides precise measurements for each vehicle fit to insure proper position of each Foot on the roof.

Thule cross bars and Thule Traverse roof rack (sold separately) are required to properly mount the base rack system.
