Thule Tracks w/ Flare Nut FastenersProduct DescriptionPLEASE MAKE SURE TO CHOOSE THE TRACK LENGTH IN THE DROP DOWN MENU BEFORE YOU CHECK OUT. Thule Tracks with Flare Nuts make it possible to install a multipurpose roof rack where no other type of rack system would be possible. Installing Thule Top Tracks is a permanent and custom rack solution that requires drilling into metal surfaces such as a truck topper, camper shell, or car roof top. Thule Tracks include Flare Nuts, specifically designed for installing on metal surfaces without the removal of the headliner. A Flare Nut is a "blind" fastener that creates a threaded screw hole in sheet metal. They are installed using the included expander tool. All of the mounting hardware is hidden between the roof and headliner. Available in 42" and 54" lengths. Thule Tracks can easily be cut down to a smaller size though. The Thule Tracker II rack or Rapid Tracker rack with TK Kit #1 and Load bars, and the Yakima Control Towers rack with Landing Pad 1 and Round bars are both compatible with Thule Tracks. These racks have the ability to adjust forward and backward within the tracks, allowing you to choose the bar spread you desire, depending on the gear you haul. The tracks come with rubber washers and silicone to provide a waterproof seal. These tracks will not mount to a fiberglass surface. The Thule 60" Top Tracks with traditional bolts and nuts are needed for installing on fiberglass surfaces. Not sure if you will like the way a roof rack will look on your vehicle?
