Yakima's Integrated Gear Management (a.k.a. Ground Control) is an innovative and custom modular system to organize all your gear and equipment just the way you want.
The foundation of Ground Control is the Base Unit. Yakima gear hooks and holders connect to the Base Unit, creating an innovative solution for storing a surfboard, kayak, canoe, cargo box, bike (horizontally or vertically), skis, snowboards, poles, helmets, packs, etc. The Base Unit can be increased with the Extender Kit, or wrapped around a corner and connected to another Base Unit using the Corner Kit. Create and customize your own.

Universal Mounting Plate (sold separately) mounts the Base Unit and/or Extender Kit to the wall when there are no wall studs available to screw into.

Anchor Kit (sold separately) allows mounting Yakima Ground Control Base Unit or Base Unit Extender Kit to a concrete wall.
The Extender Kit allows you to add more storage space to the Base Unit for connecting extra Yakima Ground Control gear hangers and holders. You can also use the Extender Kit to connect two Base Units together. The Extender Kit will allow the Base Unit to extend 32" wider.

The Corner Kit enables the Ground Control modular Base Unit to wrap around a corner and connect to another Base Unit. The Corner Kit can also be used with an Extender Kit and Base Unit (or two) for even more storage rack space.
